Developer Mike Johnson describes the new features of the DOTTI-II machine as follows:
- Simple and effective Give-Lock system allows quick transformation to direct-drive machine.
- Activated Give-Lock allows springless and rigid use, ideal for large needle groupings such as blackout or thick lining, but also suitable for stippling.
- Suspension in the front frame area provides more direct work, while still allowing the needle to penetrate the skin softly and smoothly thanks to the giv (suspension).
- Improved 12,000 RPM motor and extended effective range. This coreless long-life motor will become the new standard in future machines.
- New stroke eccentric for even smoother running.
- Frame geometry slightly more forward weighted.
- Versatility: Smooth shading, incorporating color areas and creating finelines. With the addition of the Give-Lock, work effortlessly on thick lines, stippling and blackwork.
